Every time I look at this image, I can still feel the wind and sea spray on my face, how cold I was, the deafening roar of the sea pounding in against the cliffs, the taste of the salty air and being in awe of the the immense power of nature playing out in front of me.
This was taken on the Isle Of Lewis near the village of Ness at the Lighthouse. On the maps it is called “The Butt Of Lewis”, which is not as romantic sounding as Rubha Robnasis – still means the same but in gaelic.
This was one of my first images that set me down the road of my passion for Landscape Photography and got me all the way to be a finalist in the “Take-A-View” Landscape Photographer Of The Year competition back in 2009.
