It is so difficult to adequately explain the sense of feeling that I have for the Scottish Isles. Each have their own subtle differences and character that never fails to bring that little bit of joy and calmness to the soul. They each have their own innate beauty that goes with the vast skies and the obvious isolation.
Weather and geography plays such an important part of their character. Even amongst the west coast islands, a short stretch of water between them can mean a totally different beauty and feel – the Small Isles (Rhum, Canna, Egg and Muck are prime examples of this).
I have separated this portfolio into the different isles that I have got images of and I’m sure you’ll see the different charms of each.
