Forth Rail Bridge – Scale And Structure

I guess there’s no need to explain what this image is about.
This view of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge really does show the complex beauty and form of the structure. The scale of the engineering involved in the bridge really needs to be witnessed in person to truly appreciate it. For example, the three four-tower cantilever structures all top 110 metres in height.
The robustness of this stunning structure is apparent when you see the scale of the steelwork pipe spans. Over-engineered maybe, but built to last.
